DMCC Partners with Swiss Blockchain VC Firm CV VC to Enhance Web3 Ecosystem in the Middle East

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has entered a strategic collaboration with Switzerland's blockchain venture capital firm CV VC aimed at strengthening and expanding the Web3 ecosystems in Dubai Switzerland and the broader region. This partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange resource sharing and collaborative initiatives to foster growth within the blockchain space.

Mathias Ruch founder and CEO of CV VC expressed optimism about the collaboration stating that it presents an opportunity for both entities to share resources and expertise thereby bolstering the blockchain industry in the Middle East and Switzerland. The partnership will focus on scaling up the ecosystems of DMCC and CV VC through cross-border collaboration which includes organizing educational initiatives such as workshops and seminars.

In addition to educational activities the partnership will involve resource exchange and joint events including the Web3 Hub set to take place during the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland in January 2025. This event will serve as a platform for industry leaders to discuss the future of Web3 technologies and their implications for businesses.

Further cementing their commitment to blockchain innovation CV VC will participate in the upcoming DMCC-Bybit Hackathon designed to stimulate and drive technological advancements in the blockchain sector within the region. This initiative aims to encourage developers and innovators to create groundbreaking solutions in the Web3 space.

Feryal Ahmadi Chief Operating Officer at DMCC emphasized the significance of this strategic alliance stating that it will provide DMCC members with unique benefits and enhance Web3 innovation between Dubai and Switzerland. Ahmadi recognized the value of collaboration knowledge exchange and resource-sharing in unlocking the full potential of Web3 technologies. She noted that by connecting their ecosystems both DMCC and CV VC can propel the next phase of global Web3 adoption while paving the way for a more interconnected and innovative business landscape worldwide.

From the Swiss perspective Olaf Hannemann co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of CV VC highlighted the maturation of the Middle Eastern ecosystem in recent years. He attributed this growth to a long-term vision and a strong commitment to investing in future technologies which he believes will create abundant opportunities for collaboration between the two regions.

In recent developments the DMCC Crypto Centre has also launched Cointelegraph’s regional office further enhancing collaboration opportunities within the wider Web3 ecosystem. This initiative aligns with DMCC’s vision to establish itself as a global hub for cryptocurrency and blockchain innovation.
